Outdoor shoemaker Ahnu ran full-page advertisements inside the MapMyFitness mobile application that garnered a 6.25% click-thru rate. The ad promoted a contest Ahnu ran asking fans to submit photos of their favorite colors in nature for a chance to win a pair of Ahnu's hiking shoes. The photo contest drew in 133,223 unique views and increased Ahnu's online community by 525% in about three months.
