Book explores the history of navigational technology

In the new book "You Are Here," Boston Globe writer Hiawatha Bray traces the history of navigational systems from the relatively unsophisticated technology of the past to the global positioning systems of the modern age. "We now have free run of a planet we have thoroughly mapped and photographed and where even the farthest traveler can count on arriving at his intended destination," Bray writes.
