Google proves its marketing skill with one-day Glass sale

Google held a one-day sale of its Google Glass eyewear-computer on Tuesday, offering the prototype in several colors, each priced at $1,500. The sale got plenty of coverage online, which the search giant backed with a 15-second YouTube ad directing users to the sale site. That's "a reminder that Google can be a powerful direct-to-consumer marketer when it wants to be," Mark Bergen writes.
