Ill. students help clean cemetery's grounds, conduct research

Students from Zeigler-Royalton High School in Illinois joined local officials in an effort to spruce up one of Franklin County's oldest cemeteries and maintain proper burial records for the landmark. In addition to cleaning the headstones, some of which date back to the 1700s, students recorded information found on the markers for research they will conduct in the classroom. The township plans to reset the headstones this summer.
