Priceline CEO hasn't seen results from big social media spends

Priceline is one of the world's largest online ad buyers, yet CEO Darren Huston says he doesn't see much value in Facebook and Twitter. Huston says he prefers Google ads to drive users to Priceline's online travel site, and while the company spends on social media, "we haven't found anything there." Huston's comments reflect the travel industry's dependency on search, but other advertisers have seen returns on their social media investments, Jim Edwards writes.
