Pennsylvania Analyzes Test Results By Demographic Data

The state yesterday released test results sorted by a variety of indicators, including sex, race and socio-economic status. The results are based on last year's reading and math tests of fifth-, eighth- and eleventh-grade students. State Education Secretary Charles Zogby, said the data could "begin a conversation about how we go about closing this [achievement] gap."
