All children not treated equally in health care, report says

Large disparities exist in the quality of health care American children receive, with geography, ethnicity and income all playing roles in health care lapses, according to a new report from the Commonwealth Fund. The report showed dangerous lapses in patient safety, including the administering of inappropriate drugs and untested treatments; shortcomings in providing recommended care; failure to provide preventive services to teens and persistent racial and ethnic disparities in care.
