Study: Diets may end, but limiting carbs goes on

A newly released Morgan Stanley study indicates that dieters are limiting carb consumption even after going off high-protein diets, a phenomenon that could have lasting implications for food and beverage companies. Because consumers are more aware of nutrition issues, some high-carb categories, such as oatmeal, may recover, while other categories, such as carbonated soft drinks, could remain hurt by the trend.
