Google's rivals urge antitrust scrutiny of DoubleClick acquisition

Microsoft is leading a group of media and telecommunications companies urging that government regulators examine Google's proposed $3.1 billion purchase of online ad placement and delivery firm DoubleClick. The combined Google-DoubleClick entity, critics complain, would exert too much control over the growth and development of online media and advertising.
