Program transforms troubled boys into leaders

A Maryland leadership program for boys is drawing national attention for transforming young men teetering on the edge of self-destruction into thoughtful leaders who sponsor teacher-appreciation banquets, mentor younger students and feed the hungry. "When you see something is working for someone else, you want to know more about it," said Kevin Waith, a 17-year-old senior in the group, which now has about 140 members.
