EPA evaluates 15% ethanol mix

The Environmental Protection Agency has until December to decide on a request to increase by 5% the amount of ethanol allowed in U.S. retail gasoline. Farmers and biofuel advocates are pushing for the change despite objections from automakers, who say the higher blend of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline may pose problems because most vehicle warranties follow the current 10% standard.
