Infant pacifier use does not diminish breast-feeding

The duration and exclusivity of breast-feeding are not adversely affected when infants use a pacifier, a review of 29 studies found. The researchers said previous contrary results found in observational studies could be due to other factors, such as breast-feeding difficulties or intent to wean.
