Cable providers form Wi-Fi alliance

Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Cablevision announced an agreement that will allow all of their Wi-Fi subscribers to use any of the three companies' Wi-Fi networks in the New York metropolitan area. The agreement, which includes no extra charges for users, means customers can roam freely throughout the area without losing a Wi-Fi signal.
