Delaying tough conversations costs money, study says

The majority of employees either just ruminate about having a difficult conversation at work or complain to co-workers about it, a VitalSmarts study found. Workers estimated the delay in having a tough conversation cost their employers hundreds -- and sometimes thousands -- of dollars. Companies need to educate workers about how to have difficult conversations, VitalSmarts founder Joseph Grenny says.
