Wall Street may be subdued in discussing upbeat earnings

Big banks reporting improved earnings this quarter are more likely to be subdued. Public perception has shifted, and big Wall Street profits may not be the cause for admiration they once were, particularly as Main Street continues to struggle. "It's got to be mixed emotions," said Gary Shilling, former chief economist at Merrill Lynch and president of an investment management and economic consulting firm.
