Air Force general discusses upcoming personnel changes in Europe

The Air Force will downsize about 1,700 personnel, pull two squadrons and consolidate remaining forces as the U.S. military shifts its resources in Europe, says Gen. Mark A. Welsh, the commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe. Welsh said he sees the changes as part of a long-term process in which the U.S. military continuously re-evaluates its assets.
