Algal-fuel developer gets funding for $2M Calif. project

Algae International has secured funding from investment firm Regus Advisors to develop a $2 million algae-based biofuel plant in California. The facility will utilize carbon dioxide, fuel cells, sunlight, algae and other materials to produce biofuels for military and industrial applications, Regus said.
