CMS should reconsider proposed overpayment rule, AHA says

In a letter sent to CMS on Monday, the American Hospital Association asked the agency to revisit a proposed health care law provision that requires providers and suppliers to report and return payments mistakenly given by the government. "The law is being contorted by this proposed rule to create another confusing, onerous and legally risky set of expectations for hospitals," the group said.
