Puritan releases virus, bacterium transport devices

Puritan Medical Products has announced the launch of two devices used to safely gather and transport viruses and bacteria, which will be made available through its newly formed Puritan Diagnostics unit. The firm's universal transport media device already has 510(k) clearance, while its Liquid Amies system is awaiting FDA approval. Both diagnostic products already have marketing approval in Europe.
