Renal dysfunction present in diabetes patients with normoalbuminuria

A report in CardioRenal Medicine revealed many diabetes patients with normo- or microalbuminuria still suffer from renal dysfunction. Researchers studied 11,573 patients and found that 27% of those with microalbuminuria and 31% of those with macroalbuminuria had significant kidney dysfunction, while 17% of patients with normoalbuminuria had chronic kidney disease.
