Supermarkets look to corner the UK petrol market

UK consumers are increasingly turning to supermarket promotions when it's time to gas up their cars, sparking concern among independent store operators who are now pushing for a study of the situation by the Office of Fair Trading. Supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA and Morrisons sold 45.5% of the nation's petrol last year, up from 37.44% in 2010.
