Surgeons see much stronger demand for strong chins

Nearly 21,000 Americans received chin augmentations last year, a 71% increase in demand for the procedure over the prior year, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "The biggest jump was in people over 40, which is the point where people are bridging the gap between youthfulness and middle age," said plastic surgeon Darrick Antell, a clinical professor of surgery at Columbia University. "They're getting loose skin under the jaw line, and a chin implant can make an immediate improvement."
