Transport devices introduced for bacteria, viruses

Puritan Medical Products is launching two devices for the collection and transport of viruses and bacteria at room temperature. The company's universal transport media device has 510(k) clearance from the FDA, while the Liquid Amies system is awaiting approval. Both diagnostic products already have marketing approval in Europe.
