Twice daily PPI can cure difficult reflux esophagitis

If the standard daily dose of rabeprazole does not cure reflux esophagitis, going to twice-a-day dosing can resolve symptoms in many patients, according to a study in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Japanese researchers said about 10% of reflux esophagitis patients do not recover under a standard, eight-week regimen of a daily proton pump inhibitor dose.
