Verizon seeks new high-speed customers on Wall Street

Verizon Communications is pitching its upgraded wireless broadband network to Wall Street traders who specialize in high-frequency trades -- a business where a competitive edge is measured in milliseconds. Verizon's new network can send trades back and forth between New York and Chicago in 14.5 milliseconds. "There is definitely a demand for more high-speed networks to service these industries. It's a space where there's not a lot of people offering these faster services," said John Netto, president of high-frequency trading firm M3 Capital.
