Governors take steps to raise transportation revenue

Officials in the states of Wyoming, Virginia and Maryland are raising gas taxes to supplement transportation revenues in the light of dwindling federal funds. "Every governor in the country is facing this because every governor’s gas taxes are going down. They have more needs and less revenue," said Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. Transportation experts say many more governors could take the same route in the future.
