Mixed reactions to revamped immigration proposal

An immigration bill that would change provisions related to the H-1B visa, which many tech companies and consulting firms rely on for hiring talent, is getting cheers from some, tepid acknowledgement from others and already has a few opponents who believe the proposal is not going to help ease what they believe is an IT talent crunch. "We're very encouraged that they produced a bill and we see a lot of positives, but we do have some concerns we hope to see worked out," said TechNet's Dan Turrentine.
