UK inflation rate held steady in March

The UK inflation rate held steady at 2.8% in March, with prices for digital cameras, DVDs, books and other discretionary items rising faster than prices for fuel and other essential goods. "More inflation misery is coming for consumers," said Rob Wood, chief UK economist at Berenberg Bank. "It is likely to rise further in the coming months, partly as the impact of lower sterling comes through."
