Va. port records 7.7% container volume growth in March

The volume of 20-foot-equivalent units at the Port of Virginia rose 7.7% in March year-on-year, and rail containers increased 14.3%, according to the Virginia Port Authority. "We've seen growth in January, February and March, and our year-to-date TEU volume is up 6.2%, a difference of nearly 30,000 TEUs," said Rodney W. Oliver, VPA interim executive director.
