Boat goes where the sailor goes, in a couple of suitcases

An economical but high-performance sailboat developed by a mechanical engineering major at Syracuse University is 16 feet long and carries 115 square feet of sail but can fold up and fit into a couple of suitcases. The FC-16 is made of Tegris, a type of plastic composite, and the developer, Anthony DiMare, is aiming for a manufactured model to weigh in at 150 pounds.
