British Airways joint venture to convert land waste into jet fuel

British Airways and Solena Fuels have inked an agreement to use Velocys technology to convert waste into jet fuel in London. "The sustainable jet fuel produced each year will be enough to power our flights from London City Airport twice over with carbon savings the equivalent of taking 150,000 cars off the road," said Willie Walsh, CEO of IAG, the parent company of British Airways.
