Colombia pushing to promote improved tourism infrastructure

Colombia's tourism board is working to spread the word about the significant strides the country has taken in enhancing its travel and tourism infrastructure in a bid to capture the North American travel market. The country has seen 15,000 hotel-room openings since 2004, with 7,000 more slated to open this year, and now receives more than 200 weekly flights from eight U.S. cities. The country has seen annual visitation increase to 4 million, including 350,000 from the U.S.
