Ind. works toward adoption of common core replacement

The Indiana Education Roundtable is expected to vote Monday on new education standards that would replace the Common Core State Standards. In the state, which was the first to abandon plans to implement the common core, the board of education is given the final vote on the education standards. Officials are hoping to adopt guidelines that teachers then could begin to implement in the fall, but some are urging policymakers not to rush their decision.
