Project connects students, scientists for authentic field research

Students in 18 high schools in Kansas have been conducting research under the guidance of scientists working in Antarctica. The students and scientists collaborated using videoconferencing and later met in person to share their findings. Marine biologist Grace Saba worked with the Kansas State Department of Education to launch the program.
