Boston Scientific's Acuity lead approved by FDA

The Acuity steerable left ventricular lead can be inserted into the heart via blood vessels and is used with cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. The programmable device lets doctors alter the site of stimulation by reprogramming it instead of doing another surgery. Acuity is the first device approved for Boston Scientific Corp. since the FDA lifted its warning letter on Monday.
