Nonprofit group uses Facebook to boost blood donations

A New York-based nonprofit group, called Takes All Types, has launched a program on Facebook designed to improve coordination among people who want to become blood donors. The program will allow potential donors to be contacted whenever they are needed. Currently, the TAT Facebook application has 42 members.
