Tower falls into Oregon lake during fish-passage construction

A vertical underwater tower snapped and fell into Lake Billy Chinook in Oregon during construction of a $100 million fish-passage facility. The 573,000-pound structure snapped after being suspended in mid-air, with half the tower tumbling to the reservoir floor. The mishap will push back construction by a minimum of four months, officials say.
