Angela Leong started out life as a poor exile before becoming a dance teacher. Now she's in charge of a lucrative gambling empire based in Macau. She took control of the business after Stanley Ho, her 89-year-old casino magnate husband, fell ill, but not before using her drive and networking skills to fend off attempts by rival family members to take charge. "She's got relationships with big players, and she can move money," says a competing casino executive.
