Parental alcoholism increases risk in children

Children of parents with alcohol use disorders had an increased risk of such disorders regardless of factors such as gender and parents' social status, according to a Danish study published in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research. Researchers noted that the risk is higher among female compared with male children.
