Study ties childhood hay fever, eczema to adult asthma

Australian researchers said a childhood history of eczema and hay fever could explain up to 30% of current allergic asthma. The study in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology suggests the prevention and treatment of childhood eczema and hay fever could help to prevent asthma, lead author Pamela Martin said.
