Infrastructure project to improve rail access in Memphis, Tenn.

Cargill is partnering with the Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission for an estimated $20 million to $30 million rail project along Presidents Island in Memphis, Tenn. The project aims to develop rail access to the island and would spur private investment worth $31.6 million, according to the Commerce Department. "It will also help the rest of the island because we have congestion issues," said Randy Richardson, the port commission's executive director.
