L.A.'s new social media director considers her role

After being hired as the social media director for Los Angeles schools, Stephanie Abrams said she first turned her attention to defining her job responsibilities. She now is aiming to train staff to implement the district's new social media policy and is seeking to expand the district's presence on social media websites, such as Facebook and Twitter. However, her position -- and pay -- have drawn criticism, and some have said Abrams was hired to counter recent negative news stories about the district.
