Philadelphia airport wants to boost perimeter security, CEO says

Officials at Philadelphia International Airport continue to examine ways to improve the security of the airport's perimeter, airport Chief Executive Mark Gale told members of the Philadelphia City Council. Last month, man crashed through an airport gate with his SUV and drove onto a runway. “We’re taking it very seriously and we’re giving it all due review, and we’re looking at ways to greatly strengthen the perimeter barrier around the airport," Gale said.
