School district in Va. mulls opening virtual high school

Fairfax County, Va., officials are considering opening a virtual high school that would allow students to take all of their courses remotely. The proposal follows the exodus of some students to a state virtual school. Superintendent Jack D. Dale said there is increasing demand for virtual options, but he said he expects many students would not take all of their courses online if the program is approved. "It's hard to do marching band online," Dale said.
