SMBs trump large firms as standard-bearers of a tech revolution

Small and midsized businesses are enjoying a level of access to technology not seen since inexpensive PCs started to enter the market, and they are reaping more benefit from it than some larger businesses, experts say. Patrick Gray of Prevoyance Group writes that SMBs are experiencing a technology renaissance, with solutions such as cloud computing and mobile access letting them compete on a level playing field. "With a valid credit card and an afternoon's work, even the smallest company can purchase and provision everything from email and online collaboration tools to CRM and ERP applications," Gray writes.
