Twitter's improved tracking tools paint a more accurate picture of website referrals from tweets, writes Jon VanZile. When Twitter purchased the third-party application TweetDeck, Twitter fixed the problem of chronic under-reporting of Twitter referral traffic -- whereby clicks on embedded links had been classified as direct traffic. While the analytics for Twitter are improved, there's more work to do, some observers say.
