U.S. winemakers are going green

More than two-thirds of California's vineyards are certified as sustainable, industry officials say. While certified pesticide-free and organic wines often taste better, winemakers say, the shift to sustainable agriculture isn't just about boosting profits. "Most of the wineries are family-owned businesses. ... They wanted to pass on healthier farms and businesses to the next generation," said Gladys Horiuchi of the Wine Institute.
