Feds update fraud, abuse disclosure protocol for providers

The HHS Office of Inspector General issued a revised self-disclosure protocol for providers who encounter possible instances of fraud and abuse under federal law. "Since the original publication [of the protocol], we identified areas where additional guidance would be beneficial to the health care community and would improve the efficient resolution of SDP matters," the agency said.
