Fla. teachers' union chief expresses concern of transition to common core:

Florida's transition to the Common Core State Standards is not on track, says state Education Association President Andy Ford. In this interview, Ford says teacher training has been insufficient and students will be expected to take an inordinate number of tests. He adds that the common core's emphasis on a deeper understanding of subjects is encouraging, but too much testing may inhibit teacher creativity and flexibility within the standards.
