Japan's anti-deflation policies create inflationary expectations

For the first time in nearly two years, more than 70% of the Japanese people say they expect prices to rise over the coming year. The government survey of opinion provides an early indication of the bullhorn effect of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's repeatedly stated determination to put an end to deflation.
